Sauce Communications is delighted to announce it is handling the PR for Thomson & Scott, specialists in low and no sugar sparkling wines and Champagnes and the brand behind Skinny Champagne and Skinny Prosecco.

Thomson & Scott was founded by Amanda Thomson, who was raised on a vegetarian and no-sugar diet by a health conscious mother who thought sugar was the devil – and it turns out, she was right!

Following a successful career as an Arts Broadcaster for the BBC, Amanda studied for a Diploma in Wine from the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. Compelled by her love of quality Champagne and keen interest in healthy living, Amanda sought out celebrated producer Alexandra Penet to develop Thomson & Scott Skinny Champagne Grand Cru, a no sugar Champagne, which is available as a Brut and a Rosé.

Thomson & Scott Skinny Prosecco, a low sugar prosecco with less than half the sugar content usually added (7g/l – 67 calories per 100ml glass), has recently joined the range. It is a more affordable version of Thomson & Scott’s core principle: if you grow beautiful, pure fruit in the vineyards and work carefully and respectfully in the winery, there is no need to add lots of sugar to your finished wine.  It is also organic and vegan and the first sparkling wine to put its calorie count on the label.

Amanda says:  “I was raised on a sugar free diet and now I’ve brought a brand to market that offers a top quality portfolio of Champagne, Prosecco and sparkling wine but with no or low sugar.  We’re set to take the drinks world by storm.”
